If you logged into WooCommerce.com over the weekend, you might have notice a distinct change. In order to sign into the woocommerce site, users are now require to have a WordPress.com account. The change occurred without any notice and surprised those who manage multiple WooCommerce stores for clients.
Four situation may come to consider:
- You are an existing WooCommerce.com user and already logged into WordPress.com.
- An existing WooCommerce.com user and have an account of WordPress.com but not logged into WordPress.com.
- You are a new WooCommerce.com user and don’t have an WordPress.com account.
- A new WooCommerce.com user and already have an WordPress.com account.
Existing WooCommerce.com users
Already logged into WordPress.com
If you have an account of WooCommerce.com and are already logged into WordPress.com:
- Go to My Account option at WooCommerce.com
- You will prompt to use your WordPress.com account to log into WooCommerce.com. Now Authorize WooCommerce.com to use your WordPress.com account and Approve it.
- Now select I have an existing WooCommerce account on the next screen to connect your existing WooCommerce.com account to your WordPress.com account and Click on Continue.
- To connect your WooCommerce.com account and all related information to your WordPress.com account enter your WooCommerce.com username and password on the next screen.
- Then click on Connect Account.
You are now log into your WooCommerce.com and can view your My Account Dashboard.
Already have a WordPress.com account but not logged in
If you have an account of WooCommerce.com and not log into WordPress.com:
- Go to My Account option at WooCommerce.com.
- Enter your email address/username and Password of your WordPress.com account.
- Click on Log In.
- Select “I have an existing WooCommerce account.” to connect your existing WooCommerce.com account to your WordPress.com account.
- Click on Continue button.
- After that Enter your WooCommerce.com username and password on the next screen to connect your WooCommerce.com account and all related information to your WordPress.com account.
- Finally click on Connect Account.
Don’t have a WordPress.com account
If you have an account of WooCommerce.com and do not have an existing WordPress.com account:
- Go to My Account option at WooCommerce.com.
- Click the Create an account text link.
- Enter your E-mail Address, Username and Password to Sign up for a WordPress.com account.
- Click on Continue button to sign up.
- You will prompt to use your WordPress.com account to log into WooCommerce.com. Now Authorize WooCommerce.com to use your WordPress.com account and Approve it.
- Now select I have an existing WooCommerce account on the next screen to connect your existing WooCommerce.com account to your WordPress.com account and Click on Continue.
- On the next screen enter your old WooCommerce.com username and password to connect your WooCommerce.com account and all related information to your WordPress.com account.
- Then click on Connect Account.
New WooCommerce.com users
Don’t have a WordPress.com account
If you don’t have a WordPress.com account and need to register a new WooCommerce.com account you will see the sign up screen.
- Go to the homepage of WooCommerce.com and select Get started.
- Enter your E-mail Address, Username and Password to Sign up for a WordPress.com account.
- Click on Continue to signup.
- You will prompt to use your WordPress.com account to log into WooCommerce.com. Now Authorize WooCommerce.com to use your WordPress.com account and Approve it.
- Now select I don’t have a WooCommerce account and click on Continue.
Already have a WordPress.com account
If you have an existing WordPress.com account and you would like to use to sign up on WooCommerce.com:
- Go to My Account option at WooCommerce.com.
- Enter your email address/username of your WordPress.com account.
- on the next screen enter the Password for your WordPress.com account.
- Now Log in.
- You will prompt to use your WordPress.com account to log into WooCommerce.com. Now Authorize WooCommerce.com to use your WordPress.com account and Approve it.
- Now select I don’t have a WooCommerce account
- Finally click Continue.
